David Hater, Snake’s original voice, finally played Metal Gear Solid V

Actor David Hater voiced Solid Snape in almost all parts of Metal Gear Solid, and then, many years later he finally played in the fifth of the series – Kifer Saserland replaced him in it – and laconically shared his impressions.

Okay, I pulled this moment for years. In addition to the fact that Snake speaks through the larynx? This is a pretty funny game. (He lifts his fist into the air) "Kojimaaaaaaaa" – He wrote in a playful tone in a post published on X (formerly Twitter)

After he said that "put it off for years", He admitted that "The game is quite funny" (Perhaps this is not a very subtle reference to the phrase "You are pretty good", Sounding in a number of games of the Metal Gear series?), after which he noted that "Larringit Snake" did not cause proper interest. In the last sentence, the actor slightly hinted at his hostility to the developer of the game Hideo Kojima.

By his own admission, the famous developer did not even make Hater a proposal to return to the role of a cult character in (then) the upcoming fifth part of the series. Instead, the role of Big Boss was played by the Canadian actor Kifer Suserland, known, in particular, by the role in the series "24 hours". Even before the release of the game, this was a very controversial change for fans, and later surprise increased even more when it turned out that the main character in the game speaks relatively little.

However, it seems that Konami nevertheless suggested that the actor again play the role of a Snake in the future. Adverting the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection collection some time ago, Hater mentioned this "Only the beginning". In the upcoming remake "Troika" Metal Gear Solid Delta will be used original – although, perhaps, remasted – notes of characters, but it is possible that the actor will overtake additional problems.

It is worth recalling that Metal Gear Solid Delta does not yet have a certain release date. It is only known that it will be released on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game is a full remake of MGS 3: Snake Eater, created in the same format as updated versions of the first parts of the Resident Evil from Capcom. Characters, plot and locations will remain approximately the same, and the visual and technical components, of course, will be improved.
