Mortal Kombat 1 works on the UE4 engine and none of the cameo-boys will be available as a playable character

Mortal Kombat 1 from Netherrealm works on the Unreal Engine 4 engine, and none of the Camo-Boits will be available as a playable character.

Speaking during the last episode The JEFF GERSTMANNH Show, the Mortal Kombat 1 Gamdirector Ed Bun said that the game works on the Unreal Engine 4 engine. Due to the transition to a newer engine before the start of the pandemic, an additional delay would lead to a 7-year gap between Mortal Kombat 11 and Mortal Kombat 1 if the team also worked on Injustice 3. The developer team considered this too long time. Therefore, they decided so far to refuse to work on Injustice 3 and focus on Mortal Kombat 1.

Bun noted that the transition to Unreal Engine 4 was a difficult process that demanded that the team think and act differently to integrate the engine tools into its playing game. The transition to UE4 was inevitable, but the decision was made just at the moment when the pandemic broke out.

He said that there are unsolved games of the game and many new characters that have not yet been declared. According to him, the developer team is deepening in the last few games to surprise fans with attention to the details of the game. He said that the composition of Mortal Kombat 1 is becoming more incomprehensible, especially with the inclusion of cameo-beams.

The choice of a character here will play a more important role than in the previous parts, and the plot of the game will dictate who is included in the main composition and who is a cameo-bead. For example, Cassie and other children have not yet been born in the game.

According to Bun, the characters will present moments that establish their new biography and relationships. The plot of the reboot was developed during the development of Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath. The single-user regime will include the training section in which the concept of cameo-beads will be presented
