With Frostpunk, Polish studios 11 BIT have created one of the most exciting strategic games of the last decade. The developers skillfully mixed the construction strategy with elements of survival to tell the exciting and difficult history of the snow ice apocalypse. For every day I had to work hard, every loss had to be painfully compensated for. Each employee was important – and in case of doubt, I had to send the children to coal mines to be able to heal the house per night. In the second part, everything becomes much larger.

Frostpunk 2 starts 30 years after the campaign of the first part. The most traumatic experiences paved the way forward. The most fierce cold is overcome, and the survival of mankind is no longer in danger. Of course, it is still frosty, but now the prospect has appeared: humanity is humbled with the cold, survival gives way to prosperity that it can. This makes Frostpunk 2 a little less intimate: if in the first part you knew every resident by name, then in the second part of the city and their population significantly grow.

The path to frosty utopia is still not easy. The victims are still needed. And citizens want to have the right to vote, which is supported by the new political system. Various groups of interests, such as avid ice blood and pragmatic technocrats, turn to the player to present their ideas. Should children go to a propaganda school or stay with parents? Whether to outsiders are allowed to enter the city or are they closed? Maybe you accept only qualified specialists? You cannot please everyone.

Decisions are then made by the vote of the Council. Players are not omnipotent: to conduct reforms, they need the majority in the council. To do this, you can put pressure on the deputies, create a mood and promise future concessions. If then do not adhere to this, there will be consequences in the form of protests. Groups that are constantly contempt for can become radical.
