The developer Palworld explained the differences between Steam and Xbox: “We are really in the power of certification systems”

The new PalWorld Game of PocketPair, dedicated to survival in the open world, has been incredible success since the recent launch of early access to Xbox and PC, as well as Xbox Game Pass. The creative combination of mechanics of survival and construction of the base with creating creatures and combat gameplay, which is essentially "Pokemon with weapons", It became extremely popular quickly, and now the game even broke Steam records and collected more than 1 million simultaneous players. But while Palworld flourishes on the Valve game client for PC, the players noticed that the versions for Xbox and Microsoft Store are not enough functions and corrections.

Many first suggested that this is due to the earlier number of the Palworld version on Xbox. However, the PocketPair Discord server has several messages from the Baki community manager who clarified the situation. They say that the numbers of versions on different platforms may always differ, since these are two different versions of the game, and that the reason for the lack of functions in the version for Xbox is that updates should go through the Microsoft certification queue.

"The update appeared in Steam 2 days ago. On Xbox – in line for MS certification", – wrote Bucky in response to the question of the fan about when the hotfix is released. Then, in another response to the post about the parity of functions: "Some of these things will require additional time. We are really in the power of certification. We are desperately trying to speed up the process".

Problems such as the absence of the game button from the game, etc.D., are not a result "old assembly", These are separate problems. In fact, Steam and Xbox, most likely, will never have the same version numbers until the games become compatible for cross-games, because at this moment they will be the same game inside. Again, this does not mean that xbox is necessarily "lagging behind" or something like that, these are just two fundamentally different versions of the game, because the architecture on Xbox is different.

Perhaps it would be the perfect script for Microsoft to intervene and offer some support. At the moment, the game has become a defactive temporary console exclusive for Xbox thanks to the inclusion in Xbox Game Pass. It is unlikely that Microsoft (or PocketPair) expected the game to get such success. Perhaps Microsoft has a real opportunity to offer improved support in exchange for constant exclusivity, given that Xbox is often criticized by its ruler (although the list of upcoming games for Xbox now looks very good).

Palworld is already available on the consoles of Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and Windows PC via Microsoft Store or Steam.
